Saturday 15th September

The California contingent is on it's way. Having overcome a distributor problem in Cambria, we were dismayed to hear that Joe and Naomi Manelis ran into further problems on their drive to meet up with the rest of the California group in Winters, California. Joe reports that the problem is likely in the valvetrain, and the prognosis is not good. Fingers are crossed in the hope that the problem is not as severe as it sounds...

We did not get to enjoy all the 140 miles of smiles, but enough to wipe the I5 frowns from our faces. We then took an unplanned short-cut to Highway 3, which turned out to be another great road.

Pausing to enjoy the view
We rolled into Weaverville a little after 6pm after a little over 400 miles. Tomorrow, we head off to Bend, Oregon to join the start of the NWOL proper...
